Inauguration of Karachi Hub

Our WIE Karachi Hub was inaugurated with Hira Wajahat (Stimulus) as our first Karachi Chair, shortly joined by Umul Awan (IFC, World Bank Group).

Power Lunch and inauguration of Islamabad Hub

To officially launch the WIE Islamabad Hub, we held a “Power Lunch” for women professionals to introduce themselves to each other, network and broaden their professional networks.

Power Lunch and inauguration of Lahore Hub

To officially launch the WIE Lahore Hub, we held a “Power Lunch” attended by 25 women professionals and hosted at the Energy Department, Government of Punjab. The event was chaired by Chairperson Punjab Commission on the Status of Women (PCSW) Fauzia Viqar and keynote speech by Managing-Director Punjab Power Development Board (PPDB).

MoU signing

WIE was formally launched on March 8, 2018. Further discussions led to the decision for WIE to receive support, both in terms of leadership and institutional structure, from a partnership between Energy Department, Government of Punjab and Punjab Commission on the Status of Women (PCSW) and its Women in Leadership project.

Secretary Energy Asad Gilani and Chairperson PCSW Fauzia Viqar signed an MoU for this collaboration. Nameerah Hameed and Aliya Khan signed as the witnesses.
