Founder and CEO of UpTrade

Fariel Salahuddin is the founder and CEO of UpTrade, which is known for its flagship project Goats for Water, a social enterprise that enables rural communities and smallholders farmers to use livestock as currency instead of cash. She has over 10 years of experience in energy finance, project development and energy policy.

Tabassum Kanwal

Cluster Head in Distribution, K-Electric (Karachi)

Tabassum Kanwal is the Cluster Head at the Distribution department of K-Electric (KE). She joined KE in 2004 and got 7 promotions in 15 years. From a Trainee Engineer, she got promoted to General Manager, Distribution in 2015, the first female in this role. She quickly progressed to Senior GM, and is leading the Distribution department as Cluster Head. Tabassum is an expert on high tech services on the distribution side, including all commercial and technical roles.

Rehma Javed

Senior Executive, Sapphire Renewables (Lahore)

Rehma Javed is currently working as a Senior Executive – Project Development at Sapphire Renewables. An alumnus of Imperial College London and NUST, Rehma is an engineer with a diverse experience of working at a power utility, an energy consultancy, a wind plant developer and an NGO. During this course, she has worked on the development of IPP scale wind power projects and the deployment of smart grids in Pakistan.

Ermeena Malik

Advisor, Tetratech Energy Services (Islamabad)

Ermeena has 15 years of local and international experience in the energy sector as a project developer, consultant and researcher. Her expertise spans development and implementation of conventional and renewable energy projects, project finance, analysis of energy technologies, ex-ante and ex-post evaluation of policies and formulation of regulatory frameworks.
